Dynix & Sirsi merging?

What's this I'm hearing about Dynix and Sirsi merging? What does that do to to your work on the ERM now?

Curious minds want to know...

It is true. The announcement came out yesterday. The msg talks about a union of eaquals but SIRSI bought out Dynix and Jack Blount will be a tech consultant and on their board. Sooo.

We have absolutely no idea what this means for ERM work. I haven't heard anything about a SIRSI ERM project but who knows?

It would seem somehow fitting that all the work on the Dynix ERM would go to waste as well. Sad but fitting.

Imagine my horror to realize my escape to SIRSI, such as it is, has been short lived. I heard this rumor two days ago before the official announcement and hoped it wasn't true....alas....

I haven't heard of a SIRSI ERM, although I can ask around at our July SIRSI conference if nobody hears something sooner...

Nathan filled us in at lunch. Some folks working at Dynix seem to think SIRSI bought Dynix for the 8.0 platform. Also, the guy Nathan has been working with on the ERM is very enthused about the buy-out ---excuse me, merger. So it sounds like the ERM project is still on.

This thing likely isn't over yet. We'll have to watch to see how things shake out:
