The Baby Name Wizard's Name Voyager http://www.babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html will allow you to see how popular a name is now and has been over time. It is java-based and processes output as you type each letter of a name. Pretty cool.
Wow, that's cool. I'm really glad I didn't know about the wizard when we were picking Jonathan's name or I hate to think how many hours I could have wasted on that... :)
